So, even though the broadcast flag has been rejected and is not actually
law, Microsoft has taken it upon itself to eliminate the ability to
record television programs, based on the whim of the media companies.
This is a dangerous Digital Restrictions Management precedent and also a
good example of why it's a terrible idea to let Microsoft automatically
update software on your computer.
