It seems BadVista did a very good job at its "twofold mission": Some people here are interested first and foremost in preventing Vista adoption, others first and foremost in GNU/Linux promotion.
(Just so that you know what my take on this is: I see BadVista as some "GoodGNU" in disguise.)
There's no doubt people *will* start using Vista. But that won't mean we
lost. The good news is, in terms of market share, the only ones who can lose at all are Microsoft.
The BadVista blog and news watch have been so successful in highlighting technical flaws, that we even saw links to articles that basically said, "Vista is bad. I'll stay with XP," or, "I'm outta here, I'll switch to the Mac." In my opinion, that's the outcome when we concentrate on technical flaws and practical advantages. We can be quite sure that Microsoft won't fix the freedom deficiency in Windows, so that's their weak point that we should attack.
